Arquitecturas Blandas consisted of a community participation workshop that sought to answer the following question: Can be the sculptural practice build a cartography of our neighborhood through the senses and memory? This project of collective memory started from the perceptions that the neighbors -mostly artisans, have about urbanism and architecture and how it modifies the social and human behavior in their surroundings of the city of Areguá, Paraguay.
Through clay, a material that identifies the city and from which economic goals are sought, an alternative of social representation of the subjective territory was raised against the objectivity of governments, seeking to build a common place to recognize ourselves.
Arquitecturas Blandas es un taller de participación comunitaria que busca responder a la siguiente cuestión: ¿Puede la práctica escultórica construir una cartografía de nuestro barrio a través de los sentidos y la memoria? Dicho proyecto de memoria colectiva partía de las percepciones que los vecinos -la mayoría artesanos, tienen del urbanismo y la arquitectura y de cómo ésta modifica el comportamiento social y humano en su entorno de la ciudad de Areguá, Paraguay.
Un proyecto de memoria colectiva que parte de las percepciones que los vecinos, la mayoría artesanos, tienen del urbanismo y la arquitectura y de cómo ésta modifica el comportamiento social y humano en su entorno de la ciudad de Areguá. Mediante la arcilla, material que identifica la ciudad y del que se buscan fines económicos, se va a plantear una alternativa de representación social del territorio subjetiva frente a la objetividad de los gobiernos, buscando construir un lugar común donde reconocernos.
